this is the first album published in my own right; it brought me among others an endorsement contract with the hohner harmonica company which lasted about 11 years.

the beginning of the harmonica solo on the first track was for years a sound example for one of their instruments on their web; they didn't tell me nothing about this, so when Hendrik Meurkens said to me " hey man, you sound great on the hohner site" I answered "what?, what do you mean?"
ha, ha ha !

This album has some of Europe's finest jazz musicians on it:
The great tenor player Wolfgang Engstfeld, the late Christoph Eidens playing extraordinarily vibraphon and marimba, my longtime peer Volker Heinze on bass and the now in Berlin living Felix Astor on drums.

The cover art you see here is the 2nd one (I didn't like the first one which was made by the originally publishing label) and was made by Frank Wiedemann the son of my longtime trumpeter-friend the late Rainer Wiedemann.
The recording and mixing is by Reinhard Kobialka in Cologne.
