Chamber Jazz at it's best;
the line-up with out drums gives always a very special sound to any jazz ensemble. You can hear realy every note which is being played.
Beside my longtime buddy Volker Heinze, I'm very happy that we recorded with such a fine guitarist as Raplh Beerkircher.

There is also a little story to this album. Soon after it was published I played as a guest artist with a band at the Jazz Festival Leverkusen.
We played in a kind of modern way some standards from the American Songbook.
As the CDs of many musicians from this festival my CD also was sold at the entrance. Some days later I recieved an E-Mail with huge complaints:
It went like ...how can any musician play so beautifully on the gig and record such ugly music on his CD...;
it also complained about that it would sound like ORNETTE COLEMAN's music.....ha ha ha :-) !!!

If this CD would sound like Ornette's - of course this would be a real big compliment.
But it does not.
So, have fun listening !!!
